What I Eat

A few weeks ago I tried Dr. Goldner’s Goodbye Lupus Protocol for a video. And so many people loved it! I had a lot of fun trying it too, so I decided to do another day of eating only raw foods and trying more recipes out of Dr. G’s new book, Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious.

Check out the video below to see all the recipes I tried out of Dr. G’s book, and find my breakfast smoothie recipe below.

Banana Berry Green Smoothie

One recipe that was not from Dr. G’s book, was my breakfast smoothie. So here is the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces power greens
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¾ cup plant based milk
  • ¾ cup water

Directions

  1. Add everything to a high powered blender in the order listed, and blend until smooth.

Lunch

Large bowl with a massaged kale salad with tomatoes, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, clementine slices, and half a sliced avocado. Next to a plate of zucchini noodles with marinara sauce.

For lunch I tried two recipes from Goodbye Lupus Hello Delicious. I started with the Citrus Cruciferous Salad on page 31. This was amazing! I really loved the combination of veggies and the citrus dressing was full of so much flavor!

Dinner

Plate of riced cauliflower, shredded carrots, peppers, cucumbers, nori, and half a sliced avocado.

Dinner was the Sushi Rice recipe on page 61. This recipe was not my favorite, but still good. I really love sushi bowls, so I think I was missing the actual rice. As much as I love cauliflower, and I love using riced cauliflower, it doesn’t quite hit the spot when you’re looking for rice. But I still enjoyed this meal once I got past the comparison to a regular sushi bow.

Finally I also tried the Cherry Pie recipe on page 153. This was SO DELICIOUS. It is a pretty basic nice cream recipe. And I absolutely love simple and delicious recipes. It doesn’t have to be complicated to eat tasty food.
