Salad Smoothie Recipe

4 to 5 ounces mixed lettuces and greens
1 small carrot, cut in a few pieces
1 rib celery, cut in a few pieces
2 or 3 inch piece of cucumber, cut in a few pieces
½ red bell pepper (or other sweet pepper)
1 tomato, quartered
⅛ large red onion (more or less to taste)
1 garlic clove (more or less to taste)
¼ frozen apple, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups water (adjust as needed depending on ingredients used)
Optional: 1 tablespoon hempseeds (or other kind of nuts or seeds)
Directions
- Add ingredients in the order listed to a high powered blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec.*
- Blend for about 30 to 60 seconds.
