What I Eat: Dr. Goldner’s Hyper-Nourishment

Today I’m showing you how to follow Dr. Brooke Goldner’s Hyper-Nourishment Protocol. I’ll show you everything I’m eating through the day and break down all the details of the protocol.

The video answers all the common questions of the protocol. But basically the protocol requires adding a pound of raw veggies, 96 ounces of water, and a half a cup of ground flax or chia seeds to your diet each day. Watch the video for a deep dive into the protocol, but you can see a snapshot of what I ate below.

Breakfast

Two quart sized mason jars one with a green smoothie and the other full of water in the background. A large bowl of mixed berry oatmeal in the foreground.

For breakfast I had my usual oatmeal and smoothie. While this is my usual breakfast, for hyper-nourishing, I took the time to weigh my greens in my smoothie to make sure throughout the day I get the full pound of vegetables per the protocol guidelines.

I’m also starting the day with some water. Hydrating throughout the day is key on hyper-nourishment, aiming for a minimum of 96 ounces.

Finally I topped my oatmeal with chia seeds, getting a head start on the third piece of hyper-nourishment.

Lunch

Large bowl with a bed of greens, bell peppers, and cubes of roasted butternut squash.

At lunch, I continued to add more hyper-nourishing vegetables in a large salad. I added roasted butternut squash and black beans to the salad. While Dr. G’s other protocols are fully raw, hyper-nourishment simply adds raw foods to your normal diet.

I also added ground flaxseeds to the salad and continued to drink more water through the day.

Dinner

A plate with two pita pocket halves full of chickpea patties and cabbage, next to potato wedges. And a plastic container full of cabbage slaw.

I ended the day with my Curry Chickpea Patties in a pita alongside some potato wedges. And to round out the hyper-nourishing vegetables, I ate some cabbage slaw with it, topped with some more chia seeds.

Stay tuned for more information on Dr. Goldner’s Protocols. I plan to make another video covering the Goodbye Lupus Protocol and the Goodbye Autoimmune Protocol. In the meantime, you can find more information on Dr. G’s Goodbye Lupus website, or find recipes and other tips at her Smoothie Shred website.
